Smoke Shaft Hatch for Safe and Controlled Smoke Ventilation

The Axess Smoke Shaft Hatch is specifically designed for installation in smoke shafts and engineered to provide safe and controlled smoke extraction in the event of a fire. The hatch is bottom-hinged, held closed by magnets, and can be manually opened from above using a steel cable when required.

To meet various environmental and functional requirements, it is manufactured in hot-dip galvanized steel, stainless steel, or aluminium.

  • Before operating the unit, ensure that there are no obstructions in the movement path of the panel
  • The wall panel should be opened and cleaned at least every six months using clean water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth or sponge
    • Avoid abrasive cleaning agents
  • Ensure that the space between the panel and the frame is free from gravel and dust
  • Hinges must be kept clean and lubricated when necessary
  • Ensure that the hinges can move freely along their intended range of motion during opening and closing. Avoid touching or interfering with the hinges during operation, as they may become misaligned and pose a risk of pinching
