Kungsholmen Fire Station is a critical public building where technical installations must perform reliably over time. The project required robust hatch solutions that enable safe roof access, while parts of the delivery also needed to support smoke ventilation functions.
For SH Bygg, it was important to use products that could be integrated into the building’s technical solution and contribute to a safe, long-term and reliable overall system.
Elkington supplied a combination of roof access hatches, smoke vents and fixed ladders adapted to the project’s requirements. The combined SRHAOV hatch provides both safe roof access and smoke ventilation in one solution, creating a functional and space-efficient installation.
The electric roof access hatches, SRHPE, provide simple and controlled access, while the SL fixed ladder creates a safe route between levels where permanent access is required.
Together, the products create a complete solution for access, safety and fire safety functionality in a demanding public environment.
Kungsholmen Fire Station is now equipped with hatch and ladder solutions that support daily operation, service access and the building’s fire safety requirements. The delivery shows how the right combination of roof access hatches, smoke vents and fixed ladders can contribute to a safe and durable solution in critical public buildings.
