Zip 4-7 Ladder

Zip 4-7 Ladder

Foldable Ladder for Safe and Space-Saving Access

The ZIP 4–7 is an innovative, foldable, and space-saving ladder providing safe access to attics, technical spaces, installation areas, and other hard-to-reach locations. Its robust aluminum construction combines high durability with smooth operation, making it ideal for commercial properties, industrial environments, and technical installations where space is limited.

The ladder features slip-resistant steps and a spring-balanced opening system for easy folding in and out. When not in use, it folds compactly into the ceiling, freeing valuable space. The ZIP ladder range, from ZIP4 to ZIP7, accommodates ceiling heights up to approximately 3390 mm.

ZIP ladders are a perfect complement to our roof access hatches and can be used together with our Cad C Access Hatch.

  • Minimum opening: 600×900 mm
  • Step width: 350 mm
  • Step depth: 140 mm
  • Folded height: approx. 640 mm

Always read the installation instructions included with your order carefully before beginning any work, as they may vary depending on design and optional features. For proper function and safe installation, assembly should be carried out by a qualified installer. Fixings and mounting points should be adapted to the substrate.

The ZIP ladder is delivered pre-mounted on an 18 mm installation board. This board serves as the anchor point to the ceiling structure or hatch.

During installation, a clearance of approximately 80 mm behind the mounting board is recommended to provide enough space for the ladder mechanism and ensure proper operation when opening and closing. This clearance is not included in the delivery.

The ladder is adjusted and locked in the correct position after installation. Due to the spring mechanism, installation should be carried out with caution.

Always follow the specific operating and maintenance instructions provided with your order. Instructions may vary between different models, materials, and optional features. The ZIP ladder normally requires minimal maintenance but should be inspected regularly.

Recommended Inspections:

  • Check the spring mechanism for proper operation.
  • Inspect all fixings and bolts.
  • Check the steps and scissor mechanism.
  • Lubricate moving parts as needed.

Regular inspections help ensure safe use and long service life.

What is a foldable ladder?
