DryLine® Flex Drainage Channel

DryLine® Flex Drainage Channel

Flexible stainless steel drainage channel for efficient linear drainage

DryLine® Flex is a stainless steel drainage channel system designed for efficient surface water management in environments such as parking areas, courtyards, terraces and inverted roof constructions. Each system is project-specific and designed according to drawings, taking into account load class and internal gradients to ensure optimal performance and long service life.

The customised drainage channels enable a flexible and easy-to-install linear drainage solution that can be seamlessly integrated with other drainage and gully systems. This makes DryLine® Flex particularly suitable for more demanding applications.

All channels are equipped with cast-in anchors and adjustable installation feet, ensuring simple and secure installation while allowing precise height adjustment for a professional finish.

DryLine® Flex drainage channels must always be installed in concrete. Carefully read the installation instructions before starting installation.

The drainage channel must be maintained regularly. Failure to maintain it may reduce water flow or cause complete blockage. Particular attention should be paid to cleaning during periods of heavy sand and debris, such as winter maintenance.

Maintenance procedure:

  • Check the condition of the channel and gratings
  • Clear any blocked gratings
  • Loosen the fixing screws and remove the gratings
  • Clean the channel and outlets from stones, sand and debris
  • Empty the silt trap or sand trap*
  • Check the condition of the heating cable and protective casing*
  • Reinstall the gratings and tighten the fixing screws

What is a drainage channel used for?

A drainage channel is used to collect and divert surface water from areas such as parking lots, courtyards, terraces and pedestrian zones to prevent flooding and water damage.

Where can stainless steel drainage channels be installed?

Stainless steel drainage channels are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, including parking areas, courtyards, terraces, industrial sites and infrastructure projects.

What load class do I need for a drainage channel?

The required load class depends on the traffic in the area. Light pedestrian areas require A15, while areas with vehicle traffic typically require higher classes such as C250 or above.

Are drainage channels suitable for heavy traffic?

Yes, drainage channels can be designed for different load classes, including heavy-duty applications with vehicle and industrial traffic.

Can drainage channels be customised?

Yes, systems like DryLine® Flex are custom-made to suit specific project requirements, including dimensions, slopes, outlet positions and load classes.

What is the difference between a slot drain and a grating channel?

A slot drain has a narrow, discreet opening for a clean appearance, while a grating channel has a visible cover such as mesh or cast iron, often used for higher load capacity.

Do drainage channels require maintenance?

Yes, regular maintenance is important to ensure proper water flow. The channel should be cleaned from debris, sand and dirt, and outlets should be checked to prevent blockages.

Can drainage channels be installed with heating?

Yes, drainage channels can be equipped with heating cables to prevent freezing and ensure functionality in cold climates.

Are stainless steel drainage channels corrosion-resistant?

Yes, stainless steel provides excellent resistance to corrosion, making it ideal for harsh environments and long-term use.

Where should the outlet be placed in a drainage channel?

The outlet position depends on the project design and can be placed at the bottom, end or side of the channel to ensure efficient drainage.
